Beautiful photo. These are called "Nhân Tự Thới".
Fowl that has these scales on the brace toes are very ferocious. They are purdy good at poking out their opponent's eyes. Our book advised us not to pit against a cock that has these scales.

Thanks Yellowspurs...This bird happens to be a very good bird. Spars very good...has hurted many birds before the molt...Hopefully he will be just as good if not better after the molt...he did put on at least 1/2 pound so we'll see.

nice nice nice... the scales on his back toes are beautiful. i also have birds with the three spurs, but they grow a little different from yours. i bet this bird has a special hit.

i got one about 2 months. one side, it cut all the scale and the other scale, it cut all accept one scale at the botton.
